Marine Stainless 2 in 1 anti-corrosive treatment cleans and protects marine stainless steel

Marine Stainless 2 in 1 from NanoCoat is an invisible anti corrosive treatment formulated to clean and protect stainless steel surfaces on boats and marine vessels.

One of many high performance surface coatings available from NanoCoat, this unique anti-corrosive treatment is formulated by adding the surface preparation with the protective solution to provide stainless steel protection. The treatment is resistant to friction and will not crack, peel or turn yellow after long term exposure.

Marine Stainless 2 in 1 from NanoCoat is ideal for instance, for railings rod holders, which are subject to heavy salt spray exposure.

Owners and operators of all marine vessels are aware of the effects of constant salt water exposure, which can cause discolouration or ‘tea staining’ on various stainless steel components on the boats.

A recent case study conducted in Tasmania showed that a single application of Marine Stainless 2 in 1 anti corrosive treatment on the stainless steel bow spit, which was constantly exposed to salt and mud from anchor retrieval, resulted in no tea staining or reduction in protection after nine months of constant use.

During this 9-month period, the vessel in question, Nordhavn 40 travelled approximately 3900 nautical miles with the anchor being deployed and retrieved over 80 times.

According to the customer, Tony Peach of Tony Peach Consulting, the Marine Stainless 2 in 1 anti corrosive treatment was applied to several locations on his vessel with no reduction in polish visible even after nine months of constant use.

The only maintenance that the stainless steel bow pit required was a washdown with fresh water after most anchor retrievals. Tony adds that the water still beads when a washdown is performed proving the long-term efficacy of the protective coatings.

NanoCoat’s invisible stainless steel protective coating cleans and protects all stainless steel surfaces, preventing the reoccurrence of tea staining for long periods of time in harsh salty conditions on marine vessels while saving both time and expensive maintenance costs.

Once the stainless steel surface is treated with Marine Stainless 2 in 1 protective coating, salt spray or other contaminants can simply be rinsed off with fresh water after use.

Additionally the NanoCoat anti corrosive treatment is non-acidic and extremely hard wearing, delivering a strong chemical bond to the surface that will not crack or peal.
